Rose Quilt Stitching Project – Moving Right Along

Well it is that time again, time to post a progress report on the Rose Quilt cross stitch project I have undertaken. I am quiet excited that I have been able to make so much progress this year, truly it is moving right along. Since my last progress update in June, I have finished up the second inner circle of flowers.

From here I will now be moving on to completing the final outer circle. After that I will still have to go over the entire project again with light pink and salmon outlines before the actual color design portion will be done. You can perhaps see the small segment of those lines in the upper right hand corner which have already been started.

Since this outer circle is so much larger, I’m wondering if it will be near the end of November before I can post another update. XD I remember joking in the Spring that I would have this done by the end of the year but I’m not feeling so convinced of that now since there is still so much to do.

Even after the color work is done I still have to start the actual quilt making portion of the project. I’m pondering if I want to find a nice floral fabric for the back or simply go with white since I am thinking more and more this will be a wall hanging. Then I will be hand quilting all of the layers together with a complimentary stitch design.

With so much left to do my wandering brain needs to stop contemplating what the next project will be after this one. I do believe it will be quiet sometime before that decision needs to actually be made. heh
