Earlier I mentioned that I was going to get caught up on past photo’s (of which I admit I’m horribly behind on!); but better late then never, yes? ^_^ So then here I will rewind a bit back to Halloween from this past year. There was a lolita meetup at our local Crown and Crumpet tea house, which is always a fabulous place to go I must say.
A delightful table was prepared for us (three to be exact!), filled with lovely dishware and skulls and a dark themed faux cake.
Each place setting received a little bag full of candy treats and the plate ware is of course decorated with Crown and Crumpet’s signature design
It took a little while, but after a bit the attendee’s started to arrive. Apparently there was awful traffic causing a delay, everyone had horrible stories of their trip. D: When probably ninety percent of us were there the food was brought out in lovely three tier stands and several types of tea were added to each table.
I must say that everything looked absolutely scrumptious! It’s always difficult to figure out where I want to start, but the crumpets were recommended as to be fresh and hot. Just so tasty with fruit jam and a touch of butter! The sandwich varieties offered this time were different than what I have had before here. This time around there was a lovely smoked salmon, mint with cream cheese, egg salad and then for meat folks there was a curry chicken. It smelled so good, I’ll have to try making some at home with faux chicken sometime. :-9
Here I am, probably caught contemplating which tea I want to try next.
After a bit it was time to get up and wander around the room to chat with everyone and meet new people. Several ladies dressed to match the Halloween theme with their prints and accessories. Other than catching up with those whom I don’t get to see very often, I think half the fun of these events is seeing how everyone creates their coordinates. I almost always come away with a new appreciation of a print I thought I wouldn’t like but looks just so fabulous in person!
The decorating here is always just amazing to me! I really wish I could find so many cute and amusing objects to decorate my own home with.
I discovered some Hello Kitty sparkling champagne! (At the time of this photo I had not tried this, but since then have found some and declare it quiet tasty.)
Alas as with all good things an end must arrive at some point in the evening, so a group shot is always in order.
Here is a full length photo of the days coordinate.
