Lazy Sunday

I love casual slow paced Sundays, don’t you? Where the weather is lovely so you get out of the house and just wander around the streets, doing a little shopping as it pleases you along the way. Today’s walk lead me to Sephora in search of some new nail polish colors as I am still trying to get caught up color wise from having to toss all I owned in the move last year.

While looking I came across these amazing decorated bottles by Nails Inc. Eye popping and would most definitely make fantastic gifts or a self treat. ;-)

Caught red handed with proof of a polish purchase and yogurt indulgence. I found some neat special effect polishes I haven’ tried before, so reviews on those coming soon.

The said tasty yogurt in question, I’m SO happy to finally find soft serve shops! The one’s hear have a huge bonus though, instead of just chocolaty candy bits you can actually get fruit and tasty stuff! Here I’m having strawberry yogurt topped with plain mochi, strawberry mochi and fresh strawberries. It was just feeling like a berry kinda day.

I also spotted our huge Chinese dragon inside a shop on display. It’s way larger than what I envisioned by hearing about it! I hope one of these years I’ll actually get to see it dance down the street.

I always like those “the day in pictures” shows/sites; all of the amazing things you may pass by but need to take more notice of. Take this dome roof of an area mall for instance, one definitely doesn’t see that every day (unless you work there of course, and most of those people probably ignore it).

You should go to the Chinese New Year Parade! They use those dragons for the parade. The city is super busy that night though. trying to travel by car is impossible.

And here is random info! The Mall where the Dome is used to be a local department store called the Emporium. It was an expensive store like Bloomingdales. Is started in 1856 and closed in 1995. The dome is the only thing left of the original building. They used to have a holiday carnival on the roof, we called them the roof rides, and they had a mechanical horse race track! They still where going up until 1995, My mom took me when I was little and I barly remmber them.

    • I wish I could, but I’ll have to wait till next year as I already have other plans. :(

Yea random info!! That is amazing about the dome, I would so go to a roof carnival if they still had them! <3
