You don’t think the 2011 holiday festivities could have been complete without attending a Christmas tea do you? I didn’t think so either and thus joined up with some fellow fashion and tea lovers for a wonderful time at a new tea house for me, Secret Garden.
The weather was rather threatening rain off and on this day and a little chilly, thankfully once arriving at the tea house everything was nice and cozy. I actually left the house a bit early thinking traffic may be bad, but turned out that I actually arrived slightly early. The table was really lovely decorated with all of the tea ware.
There wasn’t too many other patrons at this hour, so I managed to grab a nice snap of the main decorated space. It’s not a very large tea house, but quiet cozy and intimate for small groups.
Two other ladies were there already, so I settled in for a nice long chat while we waited on the others to arrive.
The only thing wrong with this picture is that my poor lovely tea cup is empty.
It wasn’t long before everyone showed up and thus a variety of canapés, tea sandwiches, scones and of course tea were served.
Here is a closeup of the scrumptious goodies at my end of the table. So many tasty things to pick from!
The world is a happier place with a full cuppa. ^_^ I loved the tea pot too, such a lovely compliment to my cup.
Just when I thought we had all munched ourselves silly on the delectable delights, hot cider and a dessert course were brought out. All of these goodies were quiet divine, I especially loved the little pumpkin round.
After all of the dessert was enjoyed and the last of the tea was sipped it was time for a group photo of our cozy little group. Pretty much everyone dressed up in festive colors for the occasion.
This is the only mostly full length shot of me from the entire evening. XD
