I am ecstatic to say that as of this morning I have put the last of the decorative top stitches into my rose lap quilt project! It has been quiet a journey to complete this much that I can hardly believe this portion is done; yep all 45″ x 45″ of it! 
I had to stand on a chair just to be able to get a nice photo of the entire ‘quilt’ top.
Of course this project doesn’t stop here, now I will need to find a fabric to go on the back and then all of the hand quilting will start. All of this loveliness being completed is just half the battle. ^_^
